The FIPGC at Host Milano 2023
Five days at Host Milano with three World Championships:
FIPGC World Trophy of Professional Tiramisu, the first of these championships that took place on the first day of the fair, on October 13th and saw China as the winner of the event, followed by Italy, home country of tiramisu and finally France.
The FIPGC Pastry, Gelato and Chocolate World Championship, instead, took place on October 14th and 15th and saw the France Team as a winner, with Luc Baudin, Nabil Barina, Amaury Lafonta and Chrikioui Charaf Eddine, their coach.
China was second, with Liu Zhaokai, Liu Fuhuan, Liang Ling, and last, the third place went to Japan, with Kawano Keiichi, Matsuda Midori, Mita Masaki.
Five special prizes have been assigned: press critique to Ecuador, best chocolate praline to Japan and best modern cake to China, while France also gains the title for the best Gelato single-portion, while Peru wins the best pastillage sculpture prize.
Last but not least, the FIPGC Cake Designers World Championship took place on the last two days of the fair, on October 16th and 17th and saw the Poland Team, with Angelina Chwyć and Renata Martyna on the podium; Italy was second, with Maria Concas and Giuseppe Pruiti, and last, the third place went to Belgium, with Antonio Sant’Angelo and Anka Moldoveanu.
Four special prizes have been assigned: press critique to Mexico, best tasting cake to Belgium and best exposition cake was again Italy.
